Forests and Water - life on our planet

Nowadays felling of forests is a main problem. People “KILL” forests. For example from 2000 to 2005 7,2 mln hectares of forest have been felled. Felling of the forests causes the change of climate. Trees produce oxygen which is one of our basic needs. We can survive without this, but we also can’t survive without oxygen. Forests save water from drying up, we can’t live without water. But we have terrible water shortages! In fact, over half of the people in the world have to live with water shortages every day. In parts of Africa and China, for example, many people don’t even have clean water to drink.
Authorities must encourage people to buy only recycled paper. People must plant more trees. Logging companies wouldn’t cut down so many trees for paper manufacturers. New forests would grow & people earn money by helping the environment rather than destroying it. People cause forest fires. Soon we won’t be able to breathe. Another problem is the pollution of water. We all need water – not just for our homes and factories, but to survive. Water also is the basic need.

Authorities must educate people about danger of forest fires. We can save the water from our baths and use it for the garden. Governments can help by passing laws to stop factories from wasting and polluting water. They can also stop water companies from wasting water because of leaking pipes.

If people did this, we would save millions of litres of water. If people paid big fines, forest fires wouldn’t destroy animals, trees and plants.

It’s high time to take drastic measures or our world will disappear.

Such solutions as conservation of forests and saving water CAN SAVE OUR PLANET!!!
